Security notice
Be sure to use a secure passcode for your iOS device if you have saved your login credentials on the device. If needed, deactivate features that synchronise your passwords with a cloud service so that your login credentials are exclusively saved on the device.
For optimal protection, activate two-factor authentication and block access from external programs with additional email account protection for webmail users. This way, only you can access the email account using the website or the web app.
Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between a web app and an app?
Apps are specifically developed for devices, depending on the operating system - such as for Android or iOS devices. In contrast, web apps can be used on all devices and do not need to be installed via the App Store. An advantage in comparison to conventional apps security-wise, is that web apps do not need to be updated: The web app runs from our server and is continually maintained and has security updates.
Nevertheless, it can be navigated like a conventional native app on your device. For example, you can set whether you would like to use the web app in light or dark mode based on your operating system settings. It is also possible in the web app to log in quickly without entering a password using biometric verification on your device (TouchID or FaceID).
