Overview
The Scholar is an anagram puzzle game played against the clock. Study aids are available to help you out. Each round consists of three anagrams to solve. The anagrams are related, e.g. Carry On Films. After each round the category changes. Complete eight rounds to win the game. On the start screen you can select game difficulty by choosing a particular college.
Requirements
ZX Spectrum Next or emulator such as ZEsarUX. A mouse is essential, however you can use a Kempston joystick in Port 1.

An excellent game and one that I couldn't help but extract all of the answers for.
You might want to fix KITCHIN (only used as a question title) and ZEPPLIN (used in both answer & question).

No worries. I don't think I found any more. I tried to send you the link to my extract but it was bad timing as the Twitch stream ended a few seconds later. The downloads can be found on my page ("ZX Spectrum Odds & Sods") or via the link in the FB group for Bret's Twitch stream.

Loads of ZX Spectrum games in BASIC listings are contained within. Although I doubt anyone could improve on the awfulness of Richard Shepherd Software's games (excluding those coded by Pete Cooke, naturally) :)

A formidable game! This is a real challenge, or for Countdown fans, a real conundrum. If you're the kind of person who loved games like Scrabble, Trivial Pursuit, Blockbusters and Pub Trivia on your Speccy back in the day then this will totally tickle the same toes. So many puzzle questions! Mr Bay, the dev, must surely be a professor of linguistic boffinry to put all these together. You will need to carefully use your study aids at the right moments to get through, unless you are a true genius and can go it alone. Cool looking Next level academic scenes and appropriately high-brow music with super smooth mouse driven gameplay show off the Next's capabilities wonderfully. Absolutely worth a donation of anyone's money. More! More!

I got my grubby mitts on the game and do a review. From reading of the press-notes to the user manual to then playing the game.
