Sunday Scripture Blessing 1 18 2026

In the beginning, God created the heaven and the earth. And the earth was without form, and void, and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. And God said, Let there be light: and there was light. And God saw the light, that it was good; and God divided the light from the darkness. And God called the light Day
GENESIS

Among His firsts was to create our day. Each day can be a beautiful new beginning to awake fresh and renewed. No matter what the day, God's promises are with us throughout. Leaning on God each day for understanding, renewal, and guidance no matter what the day brings is a great way to enjoy the day.

Who doesn't love watching the sunrise. I know that I do. I've read that some people have a tradition on New Year's morning of getting up early to watch the sunrise for not only a new refreshing day, but for a new refreshing year. Had never thought of that, but what a great way that would be to watch God's world come alive, and say prayers for the New Year. And there's always something special about a Sunrise service.

Thank you, Father for each new daily Sunrise, and for this Sunday you called a day of rest. I pray for all to have rest; especially in these trying times. I pray for all to have the peace which passes all understanding that you give. In Jesus' name. AMEN

I cannot believe we are already 3/4 of the way through January. Time sure does fly by these days. Needs to slow down for this old lady. lol Stay warm if you're where the weather is to get really cold like where I am. However, I know there are places much colder. Have a happy Sunday and week ahead.

Pictorial Tuesday 1 13 2026

My son and daughter in law got me a bird feeder for Christmas. It is one that has a camera and records the birds that come to feed and identifies their species. He finally got it hooked up for me this week. Below are some pictures from the camera on the feeder of the birds that have come to it.

And of course there are always sparrows. If I'm not looking at the bird feeder or camera, the app alerts that there is a bird at the feeder. They came the first day, which surprised me, and they've already gobbled up much of the feed. Also a nice feature is that my son can share with me what is on his feeder as well as I can share with him.

Our Christmas was late this year and actually we celebrated the first week of January. All and all, it was nice holidays.

Link up is below if you'd like to share what you've been shooting. I always enjoy visiting and watching what you've been up to in the photography world.

Happy Tuesday on Monday. :)

Pictorial Tuesday 1 6 2026

Some snow in the back yard when I took the pupper, Razzy, out for his last out of the day. Even in the snow, he had a wander around to leave his pawprints. I was freezing, and he wanted to just walk around. Silly dog!

A visitor this morning. My son hung this on the tree outside my screened-in porch, and noticed this morning some activity.

This is he who likes to just walk around in the snow in the winter. If he could, I think he'd just prefer to live outside.

A touch of color as I'm ready for the colorful seasons to start. But, Winter is just starting, but I can always hope.

Happy Tuesday as we start the new year, 2026. Hope all had a nice holiday season and New Year activities.

Sunday Scripture Blessing 1 4 2026

New Covenant's Sacrifice
Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us. For if the blood of bulls and of goats, and the ashes of an heifer sprinkling the unclean, sanctifieth for the purifying of the flesh. How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God? And for this cause, he is the mediator of the new testament that by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first testament, they which are called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance. Hebrews 9:11-15

By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh: And having an high priest over the house of God; Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil consecience, and our bodies washed with pure water.
Hebrews 10:20-22

Happy Sunday, and hope everyone enjoyed the New Year's Day holiday. I've included a link up below if you'd like to share a scripture post from your blog or just leave one in the comment section if you don't have a blog. Thanks, and have a great weekend and week ahead.
