Abstract

The invention relates to a device for displaying an image, in which an array of light-emitting diodes is provided. The light emitting diodes are mounted and designed to emit, in a direction of radiation of a radiation side of the array, electromagnetic radiation in the form of radiation beams, the light-emitting diode being designed to emit an electromagnetic light beam with a first open angle in the direction of radiation, a collimating device being provided on the radiation side at a predefined distance from the array of light-emitting diodes. The collimating device modifies the first open angle of the light beam of the light-emitting diodes in the direction of radiation according to the collimating device to a second open angle. The second open angle is smaller than the first open angle. The optical imaging device is mounted in the direction of radiation downstream of the collimating device. The optical imaging device is designed to deflect the electromagnetic radiation for displaying the image.
