Abstract

La présente invention concerne un procédé de tenue de registres de bétail. Le procédé comprend l'enregistrement d'une identité unique qui a été allouée à chacun d'une pluralité d'animaux appartenant à un nombre de groupes différents. Chaque identité unique est associée à la fois à une identité lisible par machine et une identité unique lisible par un humain attribuée à un animal. Le procédé comprend également la réception de données concernant chaque animal, et le stockage des données concernant chaque animal sous la forme d'un ensemble de données séparé dans une base de données centrale, l'identité unique enregistrée de chaque animal étant liée à l'ensemble de données concernant l'animal. Le procédé comprend en outre en réponse à la réception d'une demande d'information provenant d'un demandeur concernant un animal particulier identifié dans la demande d'information, la mise à disposition d'au moins certaines des données dans l'ensemble de données concernant ledit animal. L'invention s'applique à un système de tenue de registres de bétail.
