Abstract

L'invention concerne un environnement d'exploitation, dans lequel des objets logiques de l'environnement d'exploitation sont stockés dans une base de données relationnelle. Dans un environnement d'exploitation selon l'invention, chaque objet peut comprendre des données et/ou un code exécutable. Dans ce contexte, les 'données' peuvent comprendre pratiquement n'importe quel élément présentant un contenu d'information. Il peut s'agir de données textuelles (par exemple un document codé dans un format texte), de données binaires (par exemple une image ou un son), d'un code source de programme, d'un code exécutable, etc. Dans ce contexte, un 'code exécutable' peut comprendre un code machine compilé, un code script pour une exécution au moyen d'un interpréteur, ou un code source pour une compilation avant l'exécution, par exemple, par un compilateur 'juste à temps'.
