Description

April 9- L; J, DAVENPORT Des. 114,058
.VANITY CASE OR SIMILAR ARTICLE Filed June 17, 1958 BY ATTjRNEY Patented Apr. 4, 1939 UNITED STATES Des. 114,058
PATENT OFFICE DESIGN FOR A VANITY CASE OR SIMILAR ARTICLE Application June 1'7, 1938, Serial No. 77,903
Term of patent 3 years To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that Lloyd J. Davenport, citizen of the United States and resident of Kearny, in the county of Hudson and State of New Jersey, has invented a new, original, and ornamental Design for a Vanity Case or Similar Article, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawing, forming part thereof, in which,
Fig. 1 is a top plan view of a vanity case or similar article embodying my new design;
Fig. 2 is a rear end view thereof;
Fig. 3 is a vertical side elevational View thereof.
Fig. 4 is a view of the other side;
Fig. 5 is a front end View; and
Fig. 6 is a bottom plan view thereof.
The dominant feature of the present design resides in a rectangular metal vanity case or similar article having on its upper and lower faces a pair of metallic ridges integral with the body of the case, each of said ridges extending across the entire face and being ornamented to resemble twisting, one of the ridges on each face being disposed parallel to one pair of parallel edges and nearer one of said pair and the other ridge being disposed rectangularly to the first ridge and parallel to the other pair of parallel edges and nearer one of said pair, each face being thereby divided into four rectangular unequal areas one at each corner and separated from each other by said ridges.
I claim:
The ornamental design for a vanity case or similar article, substantially as shown and described.
LLOYD J. DAVENPORT.
