Be it known that I, JANKO Kovacvic, citizen of the Unite-d States, residing at Youngstown, in the county of Mahoning and State of Ohio, have invented certain new and useful lm rovements in Railway Safety Systems; an' I do hereby declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact descri )tion ol` the same, such as will enable others slrilled in the art to which it appertains to make and use the same.
This invention relates to a novel automatic electric safety system for railways, thc object being to provide simple and ellicient means for the revention of collisions, and consists in the eatures of Construction and combinations of parts hereinafter fully dc scribed and claimed.

Each locomotive is equipped with. a source of supply 'fr' of electric current connect" cd at one pole with`the electric alarm bell 8, zfnd electric magnetic means 9 controlling the throttle and car brake valves and thence with the brush 10 traveling on the rails 3 and 4, the other pole being connected with the. brush 11 traveling on thc rail 2, the circuit beimr thus maintained normally open. 'lho saidhbrushes 10 and 11 are always disposed respectively to the right and left.
