Abstract
A multimedia device fixture for automobiles is installed at the back of an automobile seat, and the related components of the automobile seat and fixture of the invention include a headrest, two headrest rods, and a back rest. The fixture includes a carrying stand having two left and right parallel corresponding parts, each including a middle fixing section and a lower fixing section connected to the bottom of the middle fixing section; an upper fixing section disposed at the top of the two corresponding parts and capable of being moved and fixed transversally; a flexible fixing member, surrounded and mounted onto the middle fixing section and the flexible fixing member of the headrest rod of the automobile seat. When the flexible fixing member is mounted onto the middle fixing section sand the headrest, the upper and lower fixing sections press the headrest and the backrest tightly.
Description
- 1. Field of the Invention
- The present invention relates to an assembly for installing a multimedia device at the back of an automobile seat.
- 2. Description of the Related Art
- The way of installing a multimedia device in an automobile generally embeds a screen at the platform next to the meter panel of the automobile or embeds the screen at the back of a headrest of an automobile seat, and the device used for controlling a multimedia player is usually installed at an appropriate position proximate to the front section of the automobile and controlled by the driver or person at the front passenger seat.
- The foregoing design may have the drawbacks that the multimedia device cannot be installed by the users and such arrangement incurs a high cost. After the multimedia device is installed, users cannot remove the device by themselves. Furthermore, the screen is installed onto a headrest or a platform, and thus there will be not enough heat dissipating space, and the viewing angle is limited for the driver and the passenger at the front seat only, and other passengers at the backseats cannot have a full view of the screen. The control device of the multimedia device is located at the front of the automobile, which can be operated by the driver or the passenger at the front seat only, and thus passengers at the backseats cannot control the multimedia device.
- To solve the foregoing problems, manufacturers introduced many movable carriers that allow users to install a multimedia device in an automobile by themselves. To securely mount the carrier, the prior art adopt an adhesion technology to stick the carrier onto the platform in an automobile or drill a hole at a predetermined position in the automobile for fixing the carrier. However, such arrangement is still inconvenient for users to install the multimedia device by themselves, and both of the adhesion or drilling methods will leave a mark or a hole after the carrier is removed.
- To overcome the inconvenience and shortcomings of the prior art, the present invention proposes a feasible solution by providing a multimedia device fixture for automobiles.
- Therefore, it is a primary objective of the invention to provide a fixture that can mount a multimedia device thereon, and the multimedia device refers to a screen and a control device. The fixture allows users to install or remove a multimedia device at the back of a seat in an automobile by themselves easily without using a tool.
- A secondary objective of the present invention is to provide a fixture that can mount a multimedia device thereon, and the fixture is fixed at the headrest, headrest rod and the back of a seat in the automobile, and thus the fixture can be installed securely with these three fixing positions.
- Another objective of the present invention is to provide a fixture that can mount a multimedia device thereon, and the fixture can fix the screen as well as the control device of a multimedia device.
- A further objective of the present invention is to provide a fixture that can mount a multimedia device thereon, and the fixture can fix the screen of the multimedia device at the back of a seat in the automobile or at a position between two seats in an automobile.
- The multimedia device fixture for automobiles in accordance with the present invention is fixed at the back of a seat in an automobile, and the related components of the seat and the fixture of the invention include a headrest, two headrest rods and a backrest, and the fixture comprises:
- a carrying stand, having two corresponding parts separately disposed on the left side and the right side parallel to each other, and each of the two corresponding parts has a middle fixing section and a lower fixing section connected to the bottom of the middle fixing section;
- an upper fixing section, being separately disposed at the top of the two corresponding parts and capable of being moved and fixed transversally;
- a flexible fixing member, fixed around the middle fixing section and the headrest rod of an automobile seat;
- such that when the flexible fixing member fixes the middle fixing section, and the headrest rod, the upper and lower fixing section press the headrest and backrest of the automobile seat tightly.

FIG. 7 is another view of the present invention when it is in use. - Referring to FIGS. 1 to 3, a multimedia device fixture for automobiles in accordance with the present invention is installed at the back of an
automobile seat 90, and the related components of theautomobile seat 90 and the fixture of the invention include aheadrest 94, twoheadrest rods 92 and abackrest 96. - The fixture comprises:
- a
carrying stand 10, having two left and right parallelcorresponding parts 17, and eachcorresponding part 17 having amiddle fixing section 14 and alower fixing section 16 coupled to the bottom of themiddle section 14, and themiddle section 14 of the embodiment as shown in the figures is a turning section disposed away from the central axial direction of the twocorresponding parts 17; - an
upper fixing section 12, disposed at the top of the twocorresponding parts 17 and capable of being moved and fixed at the top of the twocorresponding parts 17, and the top of the twocorresponding parts 17 supports the bottom of theupper fixing section 12, and theupper fixing section 12 has along hole 13, and the top of the twocorresponding parts 17 has ascrew hole 11 corresponding to thelong hole 13, such that twoscrews 18, each passing through thelong hole 13 and being secured into thescrew hole 11, and thehead 181 of thescrew 18 is stopped by the top surface of theupper fixing section 12, and thus theupper fixing section 12 is locked and fixed at the top of the two corresponding parts; in other words, theupper fixing section 12 can be moved horizontally; and - a
flexible fixing member 20, mounted around themiddle fixing section 14 and theheadrest rod 92 of theautomobile seat 90, and theflexible fixing member 20 in this embodiment is a mother-daughter adhesive tape, and when theflexible fixing member 20 is mounted around themiddle fixing section 14 and theheadrest rod 92, the upper and 12, 16 press thelower fixing sections headrest 94 and thebackrest 96 of theautomobile seat 90 tightly, and since themiddle fixing section 14 is a turning section disposed away from the central axial direction of thecorresponding parts 17, therefore itslower edge 141 presses thetop surface 961 of thebackrest 96 of theautomobile seat 90, and the turning section mode of the middle fixing section can prevent theflexible fixing member 20 from sliding along thecorresponding parts 17; and - a
carrying section 19, connected between the twocorresponding parts 17. - Referring to
FIGS. 4 and 5 , the foregoingupper fixing section 12 can carry ascreen 80 of a multimedia device. In the embodiment as shown in the figures, alocking member 30 is passed upward through thelong hole 13 of theupper fixing section 12 into ascrew hole 82 preinstalled at the bottom of thescreen 80. The foregoing carryingsection 19 can carry themain system 84 of the multimedia device. In the embodiment as shown in the figures, alocking member 32 is passed through ahole 191 preinstalled at thecarrying section 19, and an end of thelocking device 32 is latched into agroove 86 preinstalled at the back of themain system 84, and themain system 84 is mounted onto thecarrying section 19. - Referring to
FIGS. 6 and 7 , loosening thescrews 18 of theupper fixing section 12 can move theupper fixing section 12 horizontally left and right, and thus the left end or the right end of theupper fixing section 12 can go beyond the width of theautomobile seat 90, and a portion of theupper section 12 can be extended between the two automobile seats to install thescreen 80 between twoseats 90, and the passengers on the left and right seats can view the screen. - The fixture of the invention can be installed by users, and the key of the installation is to mount the
fixture 20 around the middle fixing section and theheadrest rods 92. If theflexible fixing member 20 is in the status of being pulled tightly, theupper section 12 and thelower section 16 naturally press on the surfaces of theheadrest 94 and thebackrest 96, or are even slightly sunken into the surface due to the flexibility of theheadrest 94 and thebackrest 96. In other words, the fixture of the invention uses the upper, middle, and 12, 14, 16 to latch thelower fixing sections headrest 94, theheadrest rods 92, and theback 96 of theautomobile seat 90 respectively, so that the entire fixture can be securely installed onto the back of theautomobile seat 90 without the risk of being shaken or slid. In addition, themiddle fixing section 14 fixes theheadrest rods 92, and the top surface of thebackrest 96 further supports thebottom 141 of themiddle fixing section 14, so as to effectively preventing the fixture from sliding down and improving the carrying capability of the fixture. - While the invention has been described by a preferred embodiment, it is to be understood that the invention is not limited thereto. Various modifications and similar arrangements and procedures are intended to be covered by the scope of the appended claims.
Claims (5)
1. A multimedia device fixture for automobiles, installed at the back of an automobile seat, and the related components of said automobile seat and said fixture including a headrest, two headrest rods and a backrest, and said fixture comprising:
a carrying stand, having two left and right parallel corresponding parts, and said each corresponding part having a middle fixing section and a lower fixing section coupled to the bottom of said middle section;
an upper fixing section, disposed at the top of said two corresponding parts and capable of being moved and fixed at the top of said two corresponding parts; and
a flexible fixing member, mounted around said middle fixing section and said headrest rod of said automobile seat;
such that when said flexible fixing member is mounted around said middle fixing section and said headrest rod, said upper and lower fixing section press said headrest and said backrest tightly.
2. The fixture of claim 1 , wherein said middle fixing section is turning section disposed away from the central axial direction of said corresponding parts.
3. The fixture of claim 2 , wherein said backrest of said automobile seat has its top surface supporting the bottom of said middle fixing section, when said flexible fixing member is mounted around said middle fixing section and said headrest rods.
4. The fixture of claim 1 , wherein said two corresponding parts have their top ends supporting the bottom of said upper fixing section, and said upper section includes a long hole, and said corresponding parts include a screw hole at its top corresponding to said long hole, such that a screw is passed through said long hole to be secured into said screw hole, and the head of said screw is stopped by the top surface of said upper fixing section.
5. The fixture of claim 1 , wherein said flexible fixing member is a mother-daughter adhesive tape.
