Fig. 3 is a perspective of a fragment of the device illustrating the manner in wlilch the combs are attached to the head-fitting applianceof the'device In the drawing, which illustrates "one embodiment merely of the invention, A designates my improved hair-Waving: I device which comprises an appliance B adapted to be fitted upon thehead of the user of the device, to which appliance is'attached agpln rality' of combs C. The appliance 'B coinprises a rear element 1 which; w vice is in use, is located at the rearof the head of the person usingthe device. rear element 1 may be formed of various materials which maybe found tote suitable.
However, I prefer to form thisrelement offabric. a e Extended downwardly from the rear element 1 is a pair of strips of si1itable".e1a t-i material 2, said strips ofelasti'c material being secured at their upper ends stitch ing or otherwise to the rear element 1. At their lower ends the straps of elastic mate rial fl; are secured bystitches or otherwise,

M The combs 1C strips 4 and 5 to supported by the strips of elastic u'laterial or head strips 8, each of said combs being provided adjacent to its opposite ends with pairs of apertures 10 through which one of the head strips 8 passes in the manner illustrated in Fig. 3. of the arrangement of the combs G on the strips 8. that said combs may be adjusted longitudinally of said strips, (luringwhich adjustment said strips will be drawn through the apertures 10 in one or the opposite direction and because said strips are bent at rather sharp angles at the points where they pass through the apertures said combs will remain in any position with respect to the strips to which they are adjusted.
In the use of my improved hair-waving device, the appliance B is arranged upon the head of the person whose hair is to be waved in the manner illustrated in Figs. 1 and 2, and the combs C are inserted into the hair in a manner to cause the hair between longitudinally of the head strips 8 to properly position said combs with respect to the head of the user of the device, and also the ends of the strips 8 at the face of the wearer may be adjusted with respect to the strips 4 and 5 by shifting the glove fastener POP-- tions 9 at said ends of said strips 8 from one to the other of the glove fastener portions 7 arranged on said strips 4 and 5.
It is obvious, in view of the construction of the improved device disclosed herein, and also because of the manner in which same is applied to the head of a user thereof, that said device may be worn with the minimum discomfort, whereby the use of said device at night while the wearer asleep is entirely feasible, and because the strips 2, 4, 5 and 8 are formed of elastic material the appliance B may adjust itself to the head of the wearer. V
While I have stated herein that certain of the strips comprising the appliance B are devieesinay be employed for this purpose.
'I claim:
1. A hair-waving device comprising an appliance formed of a plurality of strips of material and adapted to be fitted upon the head of a user of said device, and a plurality of combs supported by said appliance and arranged in a manner to permit insertion thereof intothe hair of said user of the It is obvious, in view device, said combs being provided with apertures through which certain of said strips of material comprising said appliance pass whereby said combs may be adjusted longitudinally of said strips of material.

face and passed across the forehead of the wearer of the device, attaching means for securing said face strips together at the forehead of the wearer of the device, head strips arranged for extension over the head of the wearer of the device from said rear element to said pair of face strips, and combs supported by said head strips and adapted for insertion into the hair to be waved.
4. A hair-waving device comprising an appliance adapted to be fitted upon the head of a user of the device, said appliance comprising a rearelement, a non elastic neckencircling member, a pair of elastic face strips secured to said neclcencireling memher and arranged to be extended'upwardly at opposite sides of the face and passed across the forehead of the wearer of the device, attaching means for securing said facestrips together at the forehead of the wearer of the device, elastic head strips arranged for extension over the head of the wearer of the device from said rear element to said pair of face strips, and combs supported by said head strips. and adapted for insertion into the hair to be waved.
5. A hair-waving device comprising an 7 appliance adapted to be fitted upon the head of a user of the device, said appliance comprising a rear element, a non-elastic neckencircling member, a pair of elastic face strips secured to said neck-encircling memher and arranged to be extended upwardly atopposite sides of the face and passed across the forehead of the wearer of the device, attaching means for securing said "face strips together at the forehead of the wearer 0f the device, elastic head strips arranged for extension Over the head flfiili) wearer of the device from said rear element 5 to said pair of face strips, and combs sup ported by said head strips and adapted 1i msertion into the hill! to be waived,
