DOLL-BED FRAME.
Specification of Letters Patent.
Patented 0013.56, 1914.
Application filed April 17, 1913. Serial No. 761,688.
lowing is a specification.
The object of the invention is to provide an improved rocker attachment for the wire frames of doll-beds which shall be simple and inexpensive in construction and adapted to be easily applied to the legs or posts of the frames for converting the same into rockers if desired.
The details of the invention are hereinafter described, and illustrated in the accompanying drawing, in which Figure 1 is an end view of a doll-bed frame with my improved rocker attached, one of the bed-leg keepers or sockets being shown in section. Fig. 2 is a plan view of one of the rockers. Fig. 3 is a cross sect-ion on the line 33 of Fig. 1.. Figs. 1, 5,. and
6 are perspective views illustrating modified forms of the rocker.
The doll-bed frame A, shown in Fig. 1,
has the usual legs or posts a, and to these my several forms of rocker B, C, D, E, are adapted for attachment. They formed of a. length of stout wire bent into curved form and its ends bowed inward and downward, their terminal portions being provided with different forms of keepers or sockets for receiving the bed-legs or posts.
when it is desired to provide the bed-frame with a rocker attachment. The rockers are preferably of such l-engththat' the bowed portions project laterallybeyond the bedlegs, as shown in Fig. 1.
In the rocker form B, shown in Figs. 1 and E2, the leg socket b is constructed as a double tube, one part thereof being permanently attached to the terminal I) of the rocker, the attachment being effect-ed by means of solder or cramping. The bed-leg a is adapted to slide in the keeper and its end rests and abuts on the body of the rocker B.
In the form of rocker indicated by C, in Fig. 4, the leg socket 0 is a single tube attached to the goose-neck end of the rocker and projecting vertically.
Copies of this patentmay be obtained for five cents each, by addressing the Commissioner of Patents,
are all In the rocker form D, shown in Fig. 5,
the socket (Z is formed of a small wire which is coiled on, or otherwise secured to, the terminal d of the bow, and provided at each end with an eye adapted to receive a bedleg,as will be readily understood.
The rocker form EF'ig. 6-difl'ers from the others in that the leg socket is formed integrally, the terminal portion 6' of the rocker being. twisted upon itself to form upper and lower eyes 0, as shown, these being adapted to receivea bed-leg, as shown.
All the forms described are adapted for easy and speedy attachment and, detachment, and, when applied to the bed-framein the manner indicated in Fig. 1, they convert it into a serviceable rocker.
I claim j 1. The improved detachable rocker for doll-bed frame consisting of a wire bent into convex form and havingits terminal portions provided with a socket adapted to i receive a bed leg, as described. I
2. The improved rocker consisting of a wire bent into convex form as to its body and having end portions which are curved inward and then downward and provided with sockets whose axis is vertical and adapted to receive a bed leg, as described.
3. The combination with a dolls bedframe having vertical legs, of an improved rocker formed of a wire curved in its body portion and having bowed terminals, and keepers or sockets permanently attached to the said terminals for receiving the: frame legs detachably.
4:. The combination with a bed-frame hav- 1 90 wire having bowed end portions whose tering vertical legs, of rockers formed of a minals project inwardly, and keepers or sockets secured to such terminals for receiving the frame legs, the same being constructed in the form of a double sleeve and arranged directly over the body of the rockers so that the frame legs passingthrough the keepers rest directly on the rockers when inserted in the keepers, as described.
