Abstract
The present invention provides a method for controlling deformation for resistance spot welding, which enables a workpiece to have a smoother surface upon completion of welding in order to meet the requirements of nice appearance, sturdy and light in weight. The invented method is characterized in that: upon completion of a spot welding operation by a resistance welding machine, a suitable forging force from a compression mechanism is applied on the welded spot and a softened region around the welded spot, and the optimum forging force parameters of the soldering material are used to control a multi-stage pressure controller in order to dynamically change the forging force and a current controller, thereby achieving good welding quality with a smooth surface.
