Abstract

Tütün ve marihuana gibi hasat edilen yaprakli bitkilerdeki kanserojen nitrosamin içeriginin azaltilmasi ve bunlarin olusumunun önlenmesi için yöntemler anlatilmaktadir. Yöntemler, bitkinin kurutulmasi döngüsü içinde uygun zamanlarda mikrodalga ve/veya yüksek frekansli radyasyona tabi tutulmasina yöneliktir. Mevcut bulusa göre tütünden, taze kesilmis, yesil tütünle esit derecede tütün spesifik nitrosamin içerigine sahip, insanlar tarafindan tüketilmeye uygun ürünler,sigaralar purolar, vb yapilabilir. Tercih edilen uygulamalarda sonuçta elde edilen tütün ürünleri, geleneksel olarak kurutulan tütüne kiyasla, bilinen kanserojenlerden NNN'in ve NNK'in ihmal edilebilir miktarlarda bulundugu kuru, altin sarisi yapraklar halinde elde edilir.Methods to reduce the content of carcinogenic nitrosamine in harvested leafy plants such as tobacco and marijuana and to prevent their occurrence are described. The methods are for microwave and / or high frequency radiation exposure at appropriate times during the drying cycle of the plant. According to the present invention, products can be made from tobacco, freshly cut, with tobacco specific nitrosamine content, which is equally as green as tobacco, suitable for human consumption, cigars, etc. In preferred embodiments, the resultant tobacco products are obtained in dry, golden yellow leaves, where negligible amounts of NNN and NNK, from known carcinogens, are compared to conventionally dried tobacco.
