Abstract

PURPOSE: To recover energy by utilizing the heat of low-level condensation chiefly of moisture contained in the exhaust gas generated from sludge incinerator, and to utilize recovered water for washing and cooling the exhaust gas.
CONSTITUTION: A part of the exhaust gas from the sludge incinerator 1 is recirculated into the furnace 1, while the other part is washed and cooled with the recovered water and is then introduced into an indirect heat exchanger 3 to evaporate a working medium. After driving a turbine 4 by the evaporated working medium, the medium is condensed by indirect cooling, is then introduced into a preheater 6, where the medium is preheated by the exhaust gas discharged from the heat exchanger 3, the preheated working medium being re-introduced into the heat exchanger 3 and is evaporated. The exhaust gas discharged from the preheater 6 is passed through gas-liquid separators 7, 8 to recover water, and the water together with drain water from the preheater 6 is used as the recovered water for washing and cooling the exhaust gas which is introduced into the heat exchanger 3.
