Abstract
Description
第1の実施の形態に係るリング型ウェアラブル端末は、側面に凹部が形成された第1リングと、第1リングに接合されて凹部を覆う第2リングと、第1リングの凹部に収納される通信部とを備える。通信部は、ICチップおよびアンテナを含むICタグである。第1リングと第2リングとは、凹部に充填される接着剤により接合される。接着剤を塗布して接着面同士を面接触させる場合にくらべて、接着剤の量を増やして第1リングと第2リングとの接合強度を高めることができる。また、通信部が凹部に強固に固定され、接着剤により保護される。こうした構成により、リング型ウェアラブル端末の強度が向上する。
第1リング12に凹部16を形成したが、第2リング14に凹部を形成してもよい。また、第1リング12および第2リング14の両方に凹部を形成してもよい。いずれの場合にも、実施の形態と同様に、第1リング12と第2リング14とが強固に接合される。
第1リング12と第2リング14の色は当然何でもよいが、ファッション性の観点から、両者を同色にしたり、逆に補色関係のように大きく異なる色の組合せとしてもよい。
第2の実施の形態に係るリング型ウェアラブル端末は、第1リング12および第2リング14の少なくとも一方に、接着剤24が充填される切り欠きが形成される点で、第1の実施の形態と相違する。
接着剤24として、透明な接着剤を用いてもよいが、切り欠き部22を隠すように第1リング12および第2リング14と同じ色に着色した接着剤を用いてもよい。また、ファッション性の観点から、第1リング12および第2リング14とは異なる色に着色した接着剤を用いてもよい。
第1リング12に内側切り欠き18、第2リング14に外側切り欠き20を形成したが、内側切り欠き18および外側切り欠き20のいずれか一方だけであってもよい。また、内側切り欠き18および外側切り欠き20は、リングの全周に形成されなくてもよく、各リングの少なくとも一部に形成されればよい。いずれの場合にも、第1リング12と第2リング14との間に接着剤24を充填する切り欠き部を形成し、第1リング12と第2リング14とをより強固に接合できる。
Claims (4)
- 側面に凹部が形成されている第1リングと、
前記第1リングに接合されて前記凹部を覆う第2リングと、
前記凹部に収納される通信部と、
を備え、
前記凹部には接着剤が充填されていることを特徴とするリング型ウェアラブル端末。 - 前記第1リングおよび前記第2リングの少なくとも一方には、接着剤が充填される切り欠きが側端部に形成されていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のリング型ウェアラブル端末。
- 前記切り欠きに充填された接着剤の外周面は、前記第1リングおよび前記第2リングの外周面と滑らかに連続していることを特徴とする請求項2に記載のリング型ウェアラブル端末。
- 第1リングの側面に形成されている凹部に通信部を取り付ける工程と、
前記凹部に接着剤を盛る工程と、
前記第1リングに前記凹部を覆う第2リングを接合する工程と、
前記第1リングおよび前記第2リングの外周面が滑らかに連続するように研磨する工程と、
を備えることを特徴とするリング型ウェアラブル端末の製造方法。
