Claims (5)

  1. Buprenorphin zur Verwendung in einem Verfahren zum Behandeln von Opiatabhängigkeit bei einem Menschen, wobei Buprenorphin in mindestens einer implantierbaren Vorrichtung, umfassend Buprenorphin und eine biokompatible, nicht erodierbare Polymermatrix umfassend Vinylacetat-Copolymer (EVA) umfassend ungefähr 33 Gew.-% Vinylacetat bereitgestellt ist, wobei das Buprenorphin in der Matrix eingekapselt ist, wobei die implantierbare Vorrichtung mindestens ungefähr 50 % bis ungefähr 75 % Buprenorphin umfasst, und wobei, wenn die implantierbare(n) Vorrichtung(en) in dem Menschen subkutan implantiert wird (werden), das Buprenorphin kontinuierlich in vivo mit einer Geschwindigkeit durch Poren freigesetzt wird, die sich zur Oberfläche der Matrix öffnen, die zu einem Buprenorphin-Plasmaspiegel in stabilem Zustand von mindestens 0,1 ng/ml bis 1 ng/ml für mindestens 3 Monate führt.
  2. Buprenorphin zur Verwendung nach Anspruch 1, wobei die implantierbare Vorrichtung durch ein Extrusionsverfahren hergestellt wird.
  3. Buprenorphin zur Verwendung nach Anspruch 1 oder Anspruch 2, wobei die implantierbare Vorrichtung Abmessungen von 2 bis 3 mm im Durchmesser und 2 bis 3 cm in der Länge umfasst.
  4. Buprenorphin zur Verwendung nach Anspruch 3, wobei die implantierbare Vorrichtung Abmessungen von 2,4 mm im Durchmesser und 2,6 cm in der Länge umfasst.
  5. Buprenorphin zur Verwendung nach Anspruch 4, wobei die implantierbare Vorrichtung ungefähr 1 mg Buprenorphin pro Tag in 0,5 % Natriumlauryl (-dodecyl) - sulfat (SDS) bei 37 °C in vitro freisetzt.
