Claims (1)

  1. Verfahren zur Herstellung eines Enantiomeres von Mirtazapin, umfassend weniger als 10% des anderen Enantiomers, wobei das Verfahren eine Ringschlussreaktion einer Verbindung der Formel (II) umfasst, wobei X eine Abgangsgruppe ist, die besagte Reaktion die Behandlung mit einer Säure umfasst, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass das Mirtazapin mit dem enantiomeren Überschuss durch die Ringschlussreaktion eines R- oder S-Enantiomers der Verbindung nach Formel (II) durch Behandlung mit einer Säure oder einer Säure/Lösungsmittel-Kombination ausgebildet wird, ausgewählt aus der Liste bestehend aus
    a) einer Polyphosphorsäure in Abwesenheit eines Lösungsmittels und wobei das Gewichtsverhältnis zwischen der Polyphosphorsäure und der Verbindung gemäss Formel (II) geringer als 2.5:1 ist; oder oder
    b) einer Polyphosphorsäure in Gegenwart des Lösungsmittels N-Methylpyrrolidinon oder Dimethylformamid; oder
    c) Phosphorpentoxid in Gegenwart des Lösungsmittels N-Methylpyrrolidinon.
