966,006. Swaging. M. VON BUSHE, and T. ALTENBRACHT, [trading as TH. KIESERLING & ALBRECHT]. June 11, 1963 [Oct. 12, 1962], No. 23280/63. Heading B3H. A swaging machine has at least three radially movable tools 2 actuated through levers 1 pivoted on transverse pins 3 and driven by rotating members 5a-5d on a common longitudinal drive shaft 4. The latter is driven through V-belts 16 by an electric motor 18. Levers 1 are biased by springs 19 and have ball- and socket connections 8, 9 with roller bearings 7 mounted on the rotating eccentrics 5a-5d which are arranged to move all the tools simultaneously or in pairs. A stop 10 adjustable by means 10a, limits the longitudinal feed of the workpiece by operating a switch 14 to stop or reverse the feed drive. During hot swaging compressed air is blown through stop 10 for cooling the tools.
