[Also in Group X] In a structural framework built up of elements comprising strips of channel cross-section 10 secured to flat or channel-shaped strips 11 to form a closed cross-section, two of these elements of closed cross-section may be halved into one another as shown at 17, 18 and rigidly connected by a plate 19 riveted between the strips 10, 11 of the elements. The joint may be made flush by a cruciform member 22 riveted over the crowns of the elements.
