Abstract

A pressure sensitive doormat which, when activated by a pet, triggers an audible alarm. The alarm is preferably a prerecorded voice message and the speaker which emits the message may be remote from the doormat, a signal being transmitted wirelessly from the doormat. The pressure sensor may be contained in a waterproof, rubber envelope, the top of which may be covered with carpet.

The Training mat is made with a pressure mat placed inside a standard front/back door mat.
