Abstract

Electric drive apparatus with two rotors, particularly for hoisting devices, having slip-ring type inner and outer rotors journalled in a common housing. Each rotor has a respective brake disc and is connected in a desired number of shaft couplings to a mechanical drive such as a planetary gear mechanism. The latter may be used to rotate a hoisting rope barrel. <IMAGE>
