Abstract

A vessel for accommodating persons and/or supplies comprises a flat relative low hull structure 1 and a multi-storey super-structure 3. The hull 1 is reinforced by structural tubular elements 15 of the super-structure 3 extending to the bottom of the hull 1 and housing support legs 32 which can be extended downwardly. The support legs 32 can be extended individually over differing distances whereby the vessel can be anchored to or stood on the sea bed or can be supported on a submerged floating body or bodies (43, 45'') connected to the bottom of the legs 32. The bodies (45'') are inflatable and when inflated are stowed inside the legs 32. <IMAGE>
