Abstract

1528170 Operating theatre lamps; clean space generators ORIGINAL HANAU QUARZLAMPEN GmbH 28 Oct 1975 [21 Nov 1974] 44462/75 Headings F4R and F4V Operating theatre lamps 28 are mounted on a service column 12 carrying a flexible tube 34 through which sterile air can be supplied to the immediate environment of the operating table. The tube incorporates a bellows type portion 38 enabling it to be extended and contracted and a funnel-shaped mouthpiece 44 to provide a cone of sterile air. A sterilizing discharge lamp may be provided in the service column together with a throttle assembly 56 which wholly or partially closes the outlet opening 18 and simultaneously uncovers openings 46, 48 through which sterile air can flow to the lamps 28 for cooling purposes.
