Abstract

1338110 Knitting machines; pattern wheel P ORIZIO [trading as PAOLO ORIZIO] 22 Dec 1971 [16 Oct 1971] 59616/71 Heading D1C A pattern wheel for a circular multi-system knitting machine has a pair of bits of different lengths and with radially offset butts in each slot. The bits 10 and 11 are superimposed one above the other, and coupled by a butt 12 of the lower bit engaging a cut-out 15 above it. The limits can be set radially when the cover 18 is removed, and are located by spring loaded seats 23, 24 and 28, 29. Needle butts are directed to knitting or idle positions, or remain idle depending on whether both, the lower only, or either bit is projected.
