Abstract

1348940 Missile guidance BRITISH AIR. CRAFT CORP Ltd 11 Dec 1972 [31 Dec 1971] 60955/71 Heading H4D [Also in Division F3] A guided missile comprises a beacon which enables it to be tracked and controlled from a ground station. The beacon consists of a pulsating laser, a negative cylindrical lens for spreading the beam of light emanating from the laser into a flat, fan-shaped beam, and a rotating multi-faceted mirror for causing the fanshaped beam to be cylically swept through an arc to the rear of the missile.
