Abstract
1,230,764. Moulding plastic substances. DUNLOP CO. Ltd. 23 July, 1968 [26 July, 1967; 7 June, 1968], Nos. 34308/67 and 27100/68. Heading B5A. [Also in Division A4] A seat is moulded from resilient material with a cardboard or leatherboard reinforcement. A base-plate 53 is moulded integrally with the seat and has clips 53 to support the reinforcement (42, 46) in the mould. Polyurethane foamforming composition is fed into the assembled mould through hole 55. After curing, locating studs 56 are withdrawn and the mould opened about hinge 54, to remove the seat. The mould may be lined initially with plasticized P.V.C. sheet, to form an integral cover for the seat.
