In a keyboard assembly 19 for e.g. a reed organ, depression of a key 11 moves a pair of stops 12, 13 integral with the key, to uncover a corresponding pair of air-holes (not shown) and on release of the key, a spring 15, integral with the key and stops, restores the stops to their original position. The top ends of the springs 15 are fixed to a bar 17 which is attached to the support for the keyboard assembly and the assembly may be located on the support by dummy " sharp " keys fitting into the spaces between the keys 11. The assembly may be of metal but is preferably of moulded plastic, the dimensions of the spring 15 being such that it is relatively resilient and those of the stops 12, 13 and the key 11 such that they are relatively rigid. In alternative embodiments of the assembly incorporating an integral key, stop and spring, there may be a pair of springs and a single stop associated with each key, or the spring may be fixed under the key 11, or the springs may be in the form of semi-circular arcs connecting the tops of the stops as in Fig. 3 (not shown). In Fig. 5 (not shown) the springs form an extension from the top of the stops to the bar 17.
