Abstract

Flange facing machine for facing a flange on a tubular element, including: a support column having a base adapted to fit into the hole of a tubular element having in it a flange to be faced; a fixing device to detachably hold said base on the internal walls of the tubular element; a rotating frame mounted on said support column to rotate relative to it; a facing tool attached to said rotating frame to have a rotary movement with it; a motor device for rotating said rotating frame; and a device that can operate in response to rotation of said rotary frame to automatically and continuously de-plane said refractory tool substantially radially with respect to the hole in the tubular element when said tool is rotated.
