Abstract
Procedimiento para suavizar y desodorizar el esparto caracterizado porque consiste en que el esparto previamente cocido machacado y rastrillado en forma ordinaria es sometido posteriormente a cocidas con vapor de agua en unas cubetas mezclado con la adecuada proporción en cada caso de agua y sosa cáustica manteniendo el esparto sometido a este tratamiento y a la de temperatura adecuada durante un periodo de tiempo conveniente para lograr la flexibilidad de la fibra y la pérdida de su olor característico.
