Dabei werden die zu einem Zeitpunkt auszuliefernden unterschiedlichen Stapel von Werbesendungen zunächst erfasst, in- dem eine kleine Menge von Beispielen jedes Stapels aufgenommen wird. Für jeden Stapel stehen somit z.B. 10 elektronische Bilder zur Verfügung. Aus dieser Menge wird nun ein bildhafter Repräsentant durch z.B. Mittelwertbildung der 10 Bilder ermittelt. Dieser Repräsentant bildet genau das bildhafte Re- ferenzmerkmal . Das Referenzmerkmal wird also aus Aufnahmen mehrerer in Stapel abgelegten Postsendungen ermittelt, vorzugsweise durch Mittelung von aufgenommenen Bereichen identischer Postsendun- gen eines Stapels.
