Advertising tarpaulin in any geometric shape with electrical lighting effects, especially for large-scale advertising.

Advertising tarpaulins are currently used primarily in the construction industry. For this purpose, large-scale tarpaulins are labeled or provided with advertising-effective logos and other attention-grabbing means. At night, these advertising tarpaulins may be illuminated with floodlights, spotlights or other lights. It is also common to attach fairy lights to or around the advertising tarpaulins. All known variants of illuminated advertising tarpaulins are relatively energy-intensive. Colorful light effects can only be achieved to a limited extent.

The invention specified in claim 1 is based on the problem of creating a self-luminous advertising tarpaulin and thus expanding the use of advertising tarpaulins.

This problem is solved with the measures of claim 1 in that lighting means are integrated on or in the advertising banner and these lighting means are designed to be flat, just like the advertising banner.

In the specified application, the invention ensures that an advertising tarpaulin is completely self-illuminating or at least parts of the advertising tarpaulin are self-illuminating. The use of electroluminescent lighting means, in particular light foils, saves energy compared to conventional solutions such as spotlights. In addition, colored light effects and temporally interrupted or moving light effects can be achieved very easily. The flat character of the advertising tarpaulin is retained with all its well-known advantages, such as easy transport, as it can be rolled up. The area of application of the advertising tarpaulins, whether large-scale or as a smaller version for shop window design, can thus be significantly expanded.

Advantageous embodiments of the invention are shown in claims 2 to 9. The further development according to claim 2 enables the use of slides or colored foils on advertising tarpaulins and thus an improvement of the advertising effect of advertising tarpaulins. The

Embodiments according to claims 3 and 5 serve to protect the lamps on or in the advertising tarpaulin from moisture and UV radiation. In particular with opaque advertising tarpaulins, a special advertising effect can be achieved according to the further development according to claim 4 by means of appropriately designed cutouts. The embodiment according to claim 6 enables the combination of a conventionally designed advertising tarpaulin with the solution according to the invention. The further development according to claim 7 solves the housing of the inverter for the lamps preferably within a double-layered advertising tarpaulin when the advertising tarpaulin is used outdoors. The further developments according to claims 8 and 9 integrate the voltage source in the form of solar cells and the energy supply lines for the lamps in the form of ribbon or flat cables into the advertising tarpaulin.

Several embodiments of the invention are explained in more detail below. Advertising tarpaulins are preferably made of an opaque, flexible and very durable material. One side or both sides are provided with advertising characters, graphics and/or images. In the simplest case, in the solution according to the invention, an electroluminescent light source, preferably a light film, is applied and attached to individual parts of the advertising tarpaulin. A slide or a colored film can be attached over this light source. To protect the light source and the slide, a UV protection film is preferably attached over it. All of these films can be laminated or covered and thus protected from moisture. Corresponding and already known control circuits can switch on the electroluminescent light sources and create corresponding light effects.

The combination of opaque tarpaulins with partially translucent tarpaulins up to generally translucent tarpaulins with applied or integrated electroluminescent lamps is conceivable.

In special applications, e.g. vehicle tarpaulins, the opaque tarpaulin can be provided with cutouts according to the desired advertising message. These cutouts are backed with electroluminescent lamps. The front of the tarpaulin can be sealed watertight with a translucent film. It is also conceivable to line the cutouts of the tarpaulin with electroluminescent lamps.

With double-layered advertising tarpaulins, the inverter can easily be arranged inside the advertising tarpaulin and is therefore safely protected from moisture. It is also possible to integrate ribbon or flat cables for the energy supply of the electroluminescent lamps within the tarpaulin material or between double-layered advertising tarpaulins in free cable routing, whereby the electroluminescent lamps can be connected directly or via plug contacts. In addition to being connected to a 230 V network, the advertising tarpaulin can also be connected to other voltage sources. Alternative energy sources such as wind generators, solar cells, etc. are also suitable for this.

Claims (9)

1. Single or multi-layer advertising tarpaulin in any geometric shape with electric light effects made of translucent or partially translucent and/or opaque, flexible material, characterized in that electroluminescent lamps in the form of foil and/or electroluminescent light cords are applied and attached to one side or both sides of the advertising tarpaulin over the entire surface or to individual parts of the advertising tarpaulin. 2. Advertising tarpaulin according to claim 2, characterized in that slides, color films or other translucent or partially translucent materials are applied to the surfaces with the electroluminescent lighting means. 3. Advertising tarpaulin according to claim 1 and 2, characterized in that the surfaces with the electroluminescent lighting means are laminated or covered and/or protected with a UV protection film. 4. Advertising tarpaulin according to claims 1 to 3, characterized in that the advertising tarpaulin has cutouts corresponding to the desired advertising message and these cutouts are designed or backed with electroluminescent lighting means. 5. Advertising tarpaulin according to claim 4, characterized in that the cutouts of the advertising tarpaulin with the electroluminescent lighting means are connected to the advertising tarpaulin in a watertight manner by means of films or other light-permeable materials. 6. Advertising tarpaulin according to claims 1 to 5, characterized in that parts of the advertising tarpaulin are conventionally labeled or designed. 7. Advertising tarpaulin according to claims 1 to 6, characterized in that the inverter of the electroluminescent lighting means is attached to or within the advertising tarpaulin or is arranged externally. 8. Advertising tarpaulin according to claims 1 to 7, characterized in that solar cells and accumulators are integrated into the advertising tarpaulin as a voltage source for the electroluminescent lighting means. 9. Advertising tarpaulin according to claims 1 to 8, characterized in that ribbon or flat cables are integrated into the advertising tarpaulin as energy supply lines for the electroluminescent lamps.
