Die Mulde (3), in der man das Gemüse (8) hineinlegt, ist mit Zwischenräumen (7) versehen (wie bei einem Eierschneider), damit die Drähte / Klingen (4) vom Schneideteil beim Schneiden bzw. Ein weiterer Vorteil ist, dass man das Gemüse einfach in die Mulde (3) hineinlegt und das Schneideteil herunterklappt. Das Gemüse (8) ist dadurch sofort zerkleinert und es entstehen weniges Keime und Bakterien, da man das Gemüse (8) nicht die ganze Zeit beim Schneiden in der Hand hält. Unangenehmes Schneiden von Zwiebelringen wird darüber hinaus noch vereinfacht. Eine vorteilhafte Ausgestaltung der Erfindung ist ein auswechselbares Schneideteil zwecks einer breiteren oder schmaleren Schneidedicke.
