Abstract

The transportable storage unit for oil dischargeable from ships in emergency situations takes the form of a plastic hose (1) wound on a drum (6) installable on a ship's deck.

Description

Beschreibung:Description:

Mobile- ÖlabwurfdepotMobile oil drop depot

Strapazierfähige PVC- Folie, in Schlauchform auf Trommeln gerollt. Gewicht: Ca. 200 Kg, Länge ca. 250 m, Durchmesser ca. 8 m, Volumen ca. 12000 m3. Hard-wearing PVC film, rolled up on drums in tube form. Weight: approx. 200 kg, length approx. 250 m, diameter approx. 8 m, volume approx. 12000 m 3 . The welded end is rolled up into a drum on a shaft, which is also used as a towing hook during salvage. If this drum is dropped from a helicopter during use, the other end (beginning) must be pulled onto the ship's deck. The beginning of the mobile oil drop depot consists of a filling hose that is connected to the ship's own pump. The mobile oil drop depot may only be filled until the oil has reached approx. 1/3 of the height of the ship's side. The filling hose is then separated from the pump and closed and thrown overboard. The process is repeated with the appropriate number of mobile oil drop depots until the ship's cargo and fuel have been pumped out. Ships equipped with mobile oil dumping depots can drop them without wasting any time and start emptying immediately. To do this, it is necessary to unroll the filling hose and connect it to the relevant pump before dropping the drum. When the pumping process begins, the drum floating in the water is unrolled automatically and removed from the ship by rotation. After filling and separating from the ship, the mobile oil dumping depot can remain in the water until the recovery of the oil in the depot begins. Due to its great flexibility and low weight, the shape of the hose can also adapt to very high waves. You are therefore not dependent on the weather or the waves calming down. The welded, inflatable extraction shaft at the beginning of the mobile oil dumping depot is inflated before the oil is drained, thereby forming a ring-shaped shaft. The casing of the mobile oil dumping depot is opened inside the hose and the suction device can be inserted from the recovery ship.

Vorteile:Advantages:

Oil spill prevention, can be used on any ship, can be retrofitted on any ship, low weight and space requirements, can be used in any weather, unlimited capacity, can be used immediately after any accident, enormous reduction in oil loss, oil loss distributed over several depots (danger minimized), cost-saving because the environment is protected (cleaning of coasts, animals, etc.), in adverse weather conditions. No risk to people, used by helicopter (simply drop), can be pulled out of the risk area by smaller tugs or boats, low production costs.
