Zum Betrieb eines Navigationssystems im Kfz (PKW sowie LKW) wird ein Signal benötigt, welches vom Tachometer in digitaler Form (2 Volt, Rechteck) zur Verfügung gestellt wird. Es wird auf einer Ader des vom Armaturenbrett kommenden Kabelbaumes herausgeführt. Leider liegen den meisten freien Kfz-Werkstätten keine Unterlagen über Bedeutung und Funktionen der einzelnen Adern vor. Auf dem Markt befindliche Multifunktions-Meßgeräte sind sehr teuer und für die meisten kleinen Werkstätten deshalb unerschwinglich.To operate a navigation system in a vehicle (car or truck), a signal is required which is provided by the speedometer in digital form (2 volts, square wave).
