Fillable and deflatable filling cushion for stabilizing and/or protecting and/or filling empty spaces in containers.

The invention relates to a fillable and emptyable filling cushion/filling tube/filling container/filling mold into which a filling is placed. This filled cushion etc. fixes and/or protects objects in larger vessels/containers and/or is variable in size and/or pressure and/or shape.

The simplest example is standardized packages, but the items to be sent are not always the same size or have different shapes. There is usually some space between the items and the package walls. These spaces are now to be filled with these variable, dosable filling cushions. Since the shape and pressure and/or size can be changed, such a filling cushion can be used for several purposes, and different sizes are also possible.

Well-known conventional fillings are paper, wood wool, Styrofoam balls/chips, paper chips, foam fleece, packages, pre-filled packets, pre-filled gel bags, pre-filled air cushions that come ready-filled from the manufacturer. It is well known that these can also be used to protect and secure things, but the problem is what to do with the filling afterwards, because this type of filling takes up a lot of space and it cannot be made large or small. The pressure on the object that is to be filled cannot be regulated, nor can the filling material be completely adapted to the object and this filling always remains the same size. Because none of these fillings can be made smaller after use in order to be stored in a space-saving manner. This comes at the expense of storage, environmental pollution, waste avoidance, etc. Also, these things are very expensive and the pressure and size cannot be precisely adjusted.

For these and several other reasons, I have been looking for a solution that would eliminate these problem areas.

This invention can be used in many areas where an object needs to be protected/secured, e.g. packages, parcels, containers, cars, trucks, vans, lorries, plastic containers, suitcases, presentation cases, to name just a few.

The following example shows the new filling cushion on an object that is to be packed in a parcel. In this example, air is used as the filling material.

Many things are sent, packed, moved, stored and they have to be brought from A to B in such a way that the object arrives exactly as it was and in one piece. The conventional filling also always takes up a lot of space, both for the sender and the recipient, where to put the filling material - it could be reused or disposed of, so much rubbish - now this problem is counteracted by this invention.

The filling cushions are filled shortly before and/or in the container. The filling cushion can be emptied again, which means that the filling cushion is very small and can be stored in a small space before and after use, can be used as often as you like and, depending on the material, can be recycled. It can be easily inserted and also easily removed because there are different ways of filling it, before or after insertion.

The filling cushion is very light, as it is usually filled with air. The skin of the filling cushion is made of foil, reinforced and oiled, coated paper, rubber, plastic, natural materials, cellulose, etc. made of all airtight and/or dense and/or stable and/or difficult to tear and/or light materials. There are many shapes, e.g. pillows, tubes, square or round shapes, thick or thin shapes, balls, bags, volumetric geometric or even without a defined shape.

The skin or outer layer may have nubs, teats, bulges, channels that can easily slip into or conform to openings on/around/in the object.
The shape of the filling cushion can be a long tube that is placed around the object and inflated and/or has already been inflated.

The filling cushions can already be on the inside of the package and can be inflated depending on the size of the item; the filling cushion can be inflated from the inside or from the outside.

Filling is done by adding air, gas, water, oil, liquids, etc. All useful materials that can be used to fill such filling cushions and serve the purpose.

You can compare it to an air mattress: you lie on it when it is full and if you change the pressure in the mattress you lie harder or softer.

Another comparison would be a children's water ball, or a bouncy castle, exercise ball, etc.

The filling of the filling cushions must be correctable, dosed and regulated, filling should be very easy, inflating by mouth, inflating with an air pump, inflating with compressed air, etc. The closure can vary depending on the shape of the opening, it can have a valve or just be folded airtight, clamped, taped, corked, plugged and the like. All options where you fill something in and then close it and/or then let the filling escape again and let it empty completely.

It doesn't matter where the filling taps/valves are located, they should just be easily accessible and easy to use.

These filling cushions can also be used in suitcases to secure objects against breakage and damage etc. and/or to cover uneven surfaces and/or to fill empty spaces in containers and/or for decoration e.g. presentation cases

The filling cushions can also be shaped so that they could be used as toys, etc.

The filling cushions can also be attached to the inside walls of the package and after the object is inserted, the package can be closed, then the filling is inflated and the object is fixed or the filling cushion can be filled before closing, depending on preference and use.

Also, the walls of the package can be the filling cushion itself, either with a solid frame and filling cushions in between and/or the filling cushion has a hard/harder outside and the inside is the filling cushion itself, which expands when filled and/or the package is the filling cushion itself, without a frame or solid outside.
The filling cushions can also be divided so that the filling cushion can be made larger in certain places and remains small in other places.

Such filling cushions can also be used for other purposes, e.g. as pads, furniture supports, etc.

The filling cushion can also have a specific shape that fits the object and the container if it is always used for the same area, pre-made matching filling cushions.

Either you inflate the filling beforehand and/or you put an inflatable filling into the package which you inflate, pump or otherwise fill until the desired shape and pressure is achieved and then close the package and/or the filling is in the package around the object, the package is closed and the filling is only then added.

In the first case, after sending, the recipient opens the package, lets the air out of the filling and takes out the item, empties the filling cushion completely and can store and store it with little space and can reuse the filling cushion.

The filling cushion must/can be adjustable in size in order to be able to use it for multiple applications, so a large filling cushion can also be used for smaller packages and/or several small filling cushions can be connected together and/or individual smaller filling cushions can fill a large package.

The filling cushion can already have a certain shape, so that after filling the filling cushion it represents the negative shape of the object and fits even better on the object and/or also fits properly into the package/container.

Tubes that are wound and folding brackets that limit the size and a stable outer skin and that the final size of the outer skin also determines the hardness of the cushion/filling pad, but when fully filled there is no further expansion, only the pressure/hardness changes, similar to an air mattress. The pressure and the type and quantity of the filling material must be able to be adapted to the object to be protected and must also be suitable for the outer skin of the filling cushion.

Description of the drawings

Figure 1 shows a packaging box in which 2 filling cushions 1 are already attached to all inner wall sides or the already formed filling cushion 1 has been inserted. The valve 3 for filling and emptying can be seen on the lid. Here, each filling cushion on each wall side can be filled individually or together, depending on how many valves 3 are present.

Figure 4 shows a cross-section through a package in which the filling pad 1 has a teat shape 4 or a shape 4 that extends far into the middle of the package. The filling pad can be filled, dosed and emptied using the valves 3. The filling pad(s) can be loose in the package or connected to the package.

Figure 5 shows a filling hose 5 that is wrapped around the objects or pressed in. The length can vary, as can the thickness, and the pressure can be regulated using the valve 3. A hose that is too long can also be made to the right length by clamping it. The required part is filled and the part that is not required remains unfilled and is not cut off, because when the clamp is removed, the entire length can be used again.

Figure 14 shows cross sections into packed packages with objects of different shapes and different filling cushion shapes. Figure 16 shows under 16 a a plug-in system 11 with valve 3 that is placed in the filling cushion and sealed by turning, bending, clamping, gluing etc. The filling cushion can then be filled via the valve on the plug-in system. 16 b shows another clamping system that is pushed over the empty filling cushion and is attached depending on the size and where on the filling cushion the valve 3 is located. Claims (25)

1. A filling cushion for fixing objects in containers that can be filled and emptied. 2. A filling cushion according to claim 1, characterized in that the fillable cover can be emptied again. 3. A filling cushion according to claim 2, characterized in that a fillable and emptying filling cushion/filling tube/filling container/filling mold into which a filling is placed, which fixes and/or protects objects in larger vessels/containers and/or a filling cushion which is changeable in size and/or pressure and/or shape. 4. A filling cushion according to claim 3, characterized in that it represents a fixation for objects in containers, which can be filled and/or emptied again and/or the pressure can be changed and/or the hardness can be changed and/or the size and circumference can be changed and/or the shape can be changed and/or which can also be used for small and/or larger and/or very large dimensions, e.g. packages, parcels, trucks, containers, ships, trailers, etc. and/or is available in different sizes, depending on the area of use. 5. A filling cushion according to claim 4, characterized in that the fixings/filling cushions are variable in size and/or shape and/or hardness and/or circumference and/or stability by supplying air and/or gaseous and/or similar filling materials and/or liquid filling materials and/or other material which is suitable for filling such a fixing/filling cushion. 6. A filling cushion according to claim 5, characterized in that it is a filling cushion which adapts to and fixes itself to the object to be protected and has the appropriate size according to the claim 7. A filling cushion according to claim 6, characterized in that the cover/foil, the material of the filling cushion is so stable and strong and that a valve or a closable opening is designed so that the filling cushion can be appropriately filled and/or dosed and/or can also be emptied again and/or can be used again and again, several times. 8. A filling cushion according to claim 7, characterized in that it is inflatable like a bag/balloon/air mattress/bicycle tube etc., can be closed and can be emptied after use. 9. A filling cushion according to claim 8, characterized in that the filling cushion is equipped with a valve which can be used for filling and/or sealing and/or emptying. 10. A filling cushion according to claim 9, characterized in that the filling cushion consists of a very light and airtight material, so that too much additional weight of the filling cushion makes the package too expensive. 11. A filling cushion according to claim 10, characterized in that the filling is mostly made with air and that the skin of the filling cushion consists of foil or reinforced and oiled, coated paper or rubber or plastic or natural materials or cellulose etc. in any case of airtight and/or dense and/or stable and/or difficult to tear and/or light materials and/or of materials which can essentially be used for this purpose. 12. A filling cushion according to claim 11, characterized in that the filling cushion is equipped with a closure such as a valve of a bicycle tube, air mattress, plug, cork, and/or similar closable possibility which enables filling, sealing and/or emptying. 13.
