Für in herkömmlichen Tragen mitgeführte Babys gibt es keinen vollständigen Schutz; das Baby wird mithin durch Wind, Regen, Staub oder intensive Sonneneinstrahlung belastet und unterliegt so gefährlichen Umwelteinflüssen. Daraus ergibt sich die Notwendigkeit, die herkömmlichen Babytragen so zu verbessern, daß sie mehr Schutz für die Babys bieten und diese gegenüber einer gefährlichen Umgebung besser abschirmen. Die erfindungsgemäße Trage besteht aus einem Sitz 1 für das Baby, einer Rückenlasche 2 oberhalb des Sitzes zum Abstützen von Kopf, Nacken und Rücken des Babys, sowie zwei Öffnungen 10 auf einander gegenüberliegenden Seiten des Sitzes im Bereich des unteren Endes für die Beine des Babys. Die Rückenlasche 2 besteht aus einem vorderen Teil 20 und einem rückwärtigen Teil 21 vorzugsweise aus einem Gewebe. Der vordere Teil 20 der Rückenlasche ist einstückig mit der Rückseite des oberen Teils des Sitzes 1 verbunden. Die eine Seite des hinteren Teils 21 ist mit der entsprechenden unteren Seite des vorderen Teils 20 verbunden; so läßt sich das hintere Teil 21 bezüglich des vorderen Teils 20 zum öffnen und Schließen wegfalten. Die Kanten der beiden Teile 20, 21 sind mit Hilfe eines Reißverschlusses 22 zum Öffnen und Schließen miteinander verbunden.
