DEUTSCHESGERMAN
Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zur Herstellung wasserdichter Kabel- und Drahtverbindungen, insbesondere für Unterwassermotoren, deren durch Löten verbundene Kabelenden, mit einer Isolierung aus Kunststoffklebeband versehen, sich innerhalb einer Kunststoffhülse befinden. Zur Herstellung solcher wasserdichten Verbindungen zwischen den von der Isolierung befreiten Enden zweier isolierter Leiter wurde bisher häufig so verfahren, daß die blanken Enden der Leiter innerhalb einer Metallhülse miteinander verlötet und die Hülse mittels einer heißen Isoliermasse anschließend ausgegossen wurden. Dieses Verfahren besitzt den großen Nachteil, daß durch die verhältnismäßig hohe Ausguß temperatur die Isolation der Leiter leidet und in der Nähe der Verbindung brüchig wird, denn z. B. die neuerdings verwendeten Isolierstoffe für Leiter aus Polyäthylenen erweichen bereits bei Temperaturen von etwa 60° C. Vorteilhaft ist es, eine solche Ausgußmasse zu verwenden, die selbsthärtend ist und nach dem Erstarren in einen weichgummiartigen Zustand übergeht. Die Kunststoffhülse kann durch konische oder zylindrische Pfropfen abgeschlossen werden, die Durchgangsbohrungen für den Leiter besitzen. Die Pfropfen können in an sich bekannter Weise aus einem derart elastischen Werkstoff bestehen, daß eine einwandfreie Abdichtung erfolgt.
