采用上述结构后，人们在使用菜刀时，因刀刃上端加工有1厘米的圆弧形突起，防止人们在使用时切伤手指，刀把与刀体连接处为弧形方便人们使用，刀片的前端设有铲鱼鳞的齿可以取处鱼鳞。
