背景技术
已知铜具有杀真菌剂的性质。不幸的是氢氧化铜几乎不溶于水,并且因此必须溶解在无机酸及氨中形成盐溶液或铜氨络合物。
发明内容
对使用者无害且对环境无害的含铜液体农药是所需要的。
根据本发明的一个方面,提供了一种制备含铜液体农药的方法。第一步包括形成固体化水溶性铜-硼酸盐络合物。第二步包括使固体化水溶性铜-硼酸盐络合物溶解于水中,直到水中含有浓度为至少0.02重量%的铜。
根据本发明的另一方面,提供了一种含铜液体农药,其由浓度为至少0.02重量%铜的铜-硼酸盐络合物的水溶液组成。
美国专利第6,001279号(Payzant et al)公开了一种制备含有铜和硼的固体化水溶性木材防腐剂的方法。在实验室试验中,已经得到第一个惊奇的发现。发现铜和硼发生化学变化,形成铜-硼酸盐络合物。在溶解度试验中,得到第二个惊奇的发现。发现当铜-硼酸盐溶解在水中时,铜保留在溶液。

现在参考图1描述制备含铜液体农药的优选方法。
第一步包括形成固体化水溶性铜-硼酸盐络合物12。形成该水溶性铜-硼酸盐络合物的方式描述于美国专利第6,001,279号中。第二步包括在含有水16的容器14中溶解固体化水溶性铜-硼酸盐络合物12。优选铜-硼酸盐络合物粉碎成粒状,这将加速固体化水铜-硼酸盐络合物溶解于水中。然后,所得铜-硼酸盐络合物水溶液可转移到小容器18中,从而用作液体农药。铜-硼酸盐络合物中铜和硼酸盐的相对比例可改变,只要所得水溶液中铜的浓度具有用作杀霉菌剂(moldicide)、杀虫剂或用作杀真菌剂的足够毒性。为了用作杀霉菌剂,水中铜的浓度应至少为0.20重量%,从而具有对霉菌有毒的足够毒性。为了用作杀虫剂,水中铜的浓度应至少为0.30重量%,从而具有对虫有毒的足够毒性。为了用作杀真菌剂,水中铜的浓度应至少为0.20重量%,从而具有对真菌有毒的足够毒性。
在最小和最大范围方面,具有功效的最小范围是0.20重量%。当铜含量低于0.20%时,其不具有足够有效的效力。最大范围为1.00%,因为高于此范围的“过量”铜不保持在溶液中。优选范围为0.35重量%至0.50重量%。已经选择此范围的0.35%百分比为较低百分比,因为其有效地作为杀霉菌剂、杀虫剂及杀真菌剂。因为成本原因,已经选择此范围的0.50%百分比为较高百分比。0.60%的百分比不比0.50%百分比更有效,却是更昂贵的。

Claims (4)

1.一种制备含铜农药的改进方法,其包括形成固体化水溶性铜—硼酸盐络合物,减小固体化水溶性铜—硼酸盐络合物为颗粒,该方法的特征在于以下步骤:
在规定量的水中溶解规定量的固体化水溶性铜—硼酸盐络合物颗粒,从而形成铜的浓度至少为0.20重量%且不超过1.00重量%的液体农药。
2.权利要求1的方法,其中水中所含铜的浓度不低于0.35重量%且不超过0.50重量%。
3.一种根据权利要求1的方法制备的液体农药。
4.一种具有固体化水溶性铜—硼酸盐络合物颗粒与书面说明书的容器,该书面说明书说明在规定量的水中溶解规定量的固体化水溶性铜—硼酸盐络合物,从而形成根据权利要求1的方法制备的液体农药。
