Abstract
Embodiments of the invention provide a multimedia content recommendation method and device, user terminal equipment and a server. The multimedia content recommendation method comprises the following steps: displaying a new user content recommendation guiding page which comprises a first multimedia content item; sending a selection result of the first multimedia content item to the server; receiving a new user content recommendation page which comprises a second multimedia content item from the server; displaying the new user content recommendation page. By adopting the method, the new user content recommendation page is displayed for a cold starting user according to the selection result of the new user content recommendation guiding page, so that personalized multimedia content recommendation is carried out for the cold starting user; compared with the recommendation manner of acquiring user data through a third-party account number in the prior art, the method has the advantages of avoiding the privacy violation problem, being free of the support of a third-party platform, and being low in risk and low in operation cost.
Description
Technical Field
The present invention relates to the field of data processing technologies, and in particular, to a method and an apparatus for recommending multimedia content, a user terminal device, and a server.
Background
With the popularization of mobile devices such as smart phones and tablet computers, the number of mobile video users is increased dramatically, and the requirements of users for watching mobile videos are higher and higher. Due to the fact that the number of the contents displayed on a single screen of the mobile device is limited and the limitation of network performance is met, in order to improve the watching satisfaction degree of the user, video recommendation is selectively conducted according to the personalized requirements of the user on the video contents. At present, the method for recommending mobile videos to users can adopt the following two schemes: the first scheme is that the preference of a user is counted according to the behavior of the user on a service provider platform, including but not limited to the behavior of watching videos, so as to selectively recommend the videos; the second scheme is to perform personalized recommendation on the user by logging in third-party data such as an account.
By adopting the first scheme, the personalized recommendation can be only performed on the old user, but not on the new user, so that the loss of the new user can be caused; by adopting the second scheme, on one hand, the risk of invading the privacy of the user can be generated by utilizing the third-party account, on the other hand, the third-party account also needs to be supported by a corresponding third-party platform, the risk is high, and the operation cost is high.
Disclosure of Invention
The invention aims to provide a method and a device for recommending multimedia content, user terminal equipment and a server, so as to perform personalized multimedia content recommendation on a cold-start user.
According to an aspect of the present invention, there is provided a method of recommending multimedia contents, the method including: presenting a new user content recommendation guidance page comprising a first multimedia content item; sending a selection result of the first multimedia content item to a server; receiving a new user content recommendation page comprising a second multimedia content item from the server; and displaying the new user content recommendation page.
Optionally, the step of presenting a new user content recommendation guidance page including the first multimedia content item comprises: presenting a new user content recommendation guidance page including the first multimedia content item in response to an instruction to initially launch an application.
Optionally, the method further comprises: acquiring the new user content recommendation guide page from a specified position; or, requesting and receiving the new user content recommendation guidance page from the server.
Optionally, the step of presenting a new user content recommendation guidance page including the first multimedia content item further comprises: and displaying a new user function guide interface before displaying the new user content recommendation guide page.
Optionally, the step of presenting a new user content recommendation guidance page including the first multimedia content item further comprises: respectively providing selection interactive items for the displayed first multimedia content items; said step of sending the result of the selection of said first multimedia content item to a server comprises: and sending the packet identification code PID corresponding to the selected first multimedia content item to the server.

According to the method and the device for recommending the multimedia content, the user terminal equipment and the server, the new user content recommendation page is displayed to the cold-start user according to the selection result of the new user content recommendation guide page, so that personalized multimedia content recommendation is performed on the cold-start user.

Detailed Description
The invention provides a method and a device for recommending multimedia content, user terminal equipment and a server. Specifically, the new user content recommendation page is displayed to the cold-start user according to the selection result of the new user content recommendation guidance page, so that personalized multimedia content recommendation is performed on the cold-start user.
A method, an apparatus, a user terminal device and a server for recommending multimedia content according to an exemplary embodiment of the present invention are described in detail below with reference to the accompanying drawings.
Example one
Fig. 1 is a flowchart illustrating a recommendation method of multimedia content according to an exemplary embodiment of the present invention. The recommendation method of the first embodiment may be performed by a recommendation device as shown in fig. 7 or a terminal device including the recommendation device shown in fig. 7.
Referring to fig. 1, a new user content recommendation guidance page including a first multimedia content item is presented at step S110. The step is to display the cold-start user, wherein the cold-start user comprises a new user and/or a user for starting the application program for the first time. The first multimedia content item in this step is a multimedia content item covered with various labels, including but not limited to channels, types, regions and/or persons, wherein the channel is a channel corresponding to a source website of the multimedia content; type is a classification of multimedia content, such as classical, natural, suspense, and/or science fiction, etc.; the region is the region where the multimedia content distributor is located; the person is the name of the person associated with the multimedia content.
In step S120, the result of the selection of the first multimedia content item is sent to the server.
In step S130, a new user content recommendation page comprising a second multimedia content item is received from the server. The second multimedia content item in this step is a multimedia content item obtained by the server according to a selection result of the first multimedia content item as a user behavior preference, and correspondingly calculated according to various algorithms such as correlation and/or collaboration and the like, and is recommended to the user as a personalized multimedia content item.
In step S140, the new user content recommendation page is presented.
According to the method for recommending the multimedia content, the new user content recommendation page is displayed to the cold-start user according to the selection result of the new user content recommendation guidance page, so that personalized multimedia content recommendation is performed on the cold-start user.
Furthermore, the new user content recommendation page shows the multimedia content items to the user, and compared with a mode of only showing the abstract list, the new user content recommendation page is more visual and richer in showing effect and can also be used as an auxiliary means for propagating multimedia resources. Furthermore, a new user content recommendation page comprising a second multimedia content item is displayed to the user according to the selection result of the first multimedia content item, namely, a personalized new user content recommendation page is provided to the user according to the selection result of the user, the selection result does not need to be collected by the user, and the method is more flexible, simpler and more convenient.
Optionally, in a process of implementing the present invention, step S110 may include: presenting a new user content recommendation guidance page including the first multimedia content item in response to an instruction to initially launch an application.
Optionally, in the process of implementing the present invention, the method may further include step S150: acquiring the new user content recommendation guide page from a specified position; or, requesting and receiving the new user content recommendation guidance page from the server.
Optionally, in a process of implementing the present invention, step S110 may further include: and displaying a new user function guide interface before displaying the new user content recommendation guide page.
Optionally, in a process of implementing the present invention, step S110 may further include: respectively providing selection interactive items for the displayed first multimedia content items; in the specific implementation process, the selection of the interactive item can be realized through a designated area on the first multimedia content item corresponding to the new user content recommendation guide page or through a designated area below the first multimedia content item corresponding to the new user content recommendation guide page, the designated area can receive a click signal of the user, the single number of clicks indicate selection, and the double number of clicks indicate non-selection.
Optionally, in a process of implementing the present invention, step S120 may include: and sending a Packet Identifier (PID) corresponding to the selected first multimedia content item to the server. The PID is an identifier in the transmission process of the multimedia content and can be used to distinguish different multimedia contents. In addition to the PID, the corresponding ID of the multimedia content item and/or the corresponding device ID may be sent to the server.
Example two
Fig. 2 is a flowchart illustrating a recommendation method of multimedia content according to an exemplary embodiment of the present invention. The recommendation method of the second embodiment can be performed by the server as shown in fig. 8.
Referring to fig. 2, a selection result of a user terminal recommending a guide page according to new user content including a first multimedia content item is received at step S210.
In step S220, a second multimedia content item is obtained according to the received selection result. The second multimedia content item in this step is a multimedia content item obtained by performing a plurality of algorithms, such as correlation and/or collaboration, on the basis of the selection result of the first multimedia content item as the user behavior preference.
In step S230, a new user content recommendation page comprising the second multimedia content item is sent to the user terminal.
Optionally, in the process of implementing the present invention, step S240 may further include sending the new user content recommendation guidance page to the user terminal according to a request of the user terminal.
Optionally, in a process of implementing the present invention, step S210 may include: and receiving a packet identification code PID corresponding to the selected first multimedia content item. In this step, in addition to receiving the PID, the corresponding ID of the multimedia content item and/or the corresponding device ID may be received.
Optionally, in the implementation process of the present invention, in the process of performing a user behavior preference process according to the selection result of the first multimedia content item, the ID corresponding to the multimedia content item and/or the multimedia content corresponding to the corresponding device ID and the tag thereof may be matched and recorded on the device ID in step S220.
Optionally, in the process of implementing the present invention, steps S210 to S230/S240 are applicable to the process of starting the application program by the cold-start user. When the user terminal starts the application program again, the multimedia content item can be obtained by performing operation according to various algorithms such as correlation and/or cooperation according to the play record of the multimedia content in the previous application program operation process and the selection result of the first multimedia content item as the user behavior preference processing, and the multimedia content item is sent to the user terminal when the multimedia content is required to be recommended to the user terminal.
To facilitate understanding of the method for recommending multimedia content in the above embodiments, a specific example will be described below for processing of recommending multimedia content.
Fig. 3 is a flowchart illustrating an application of a recommendation method of multimedia content according to an exemplary embodiment of the present invention. Fig. 4 is a UI interface diagram illustrating a recommendation method application of multimedia content according to an exemplary embodiment of the present invention. Fig. 5 is a UI interface effect diagram illustrating an application of a recommendation method of multimedia content according to an exemplary embodiment of the present invention. Fig. 6 is a diagram illustrating another UI interface effect applied to a recommendation method of multimedia content according to an exemplary embodiment of the present invention.
Referring to fig. 3, in step S310, an Application (APP) is first opened at the user terminal, and a new user function guidance interface (also referred to as a new hand guidance diagram in this embodiment) is displayed.
In step S320, a new user content recommendation guidance page (also referred to as an interest survey page in this embodiment) is presented, wherein the UI interface of the new user content recommendation guidance page refers to fig. 4 to 6, and the first multimedia content items are arranged in sequence from left to right and from top to bottom on the UI interface. Wherein the first selection interaction item A represents an unselected selection interaction item and is represented by 0; the second selection interaction item B represents the selected selection interaction item and is represented by 1; and the progress bar C indicates that the new user content recommendation guiding page can be displayed through sliding the screen, and the size of the new user content recommendation guiding page exceeds the size of the single-screen display area of the user terminal.
In step S330, it is determined whether there is a selection result of the new user content recommendation guidance page, and if not, a third selection interaction item D "skip" is popped up on the new user content recommendation guidance page, and step S340 is executed; if yes, a fourth selection interaction item E of 'immediate experience' pops up on the new user content recommendation guiding page, and the step S360 is executed. Fig. 5 shows the UI interface popping up the third selection interaction item without a selection result, and fig. 6 shows the UI interface popping up the fourth selection interaction item with a selection result.
In step S340, a default user content recommendation page is presented.
In step S350, the personal recommendation module presents the default recommended multimedia content item.
In step S360, a selection result of the new user content recommendation guidance page is acquired.
In step S370, the PID corresponding to the selected multimedia content item is transmitted to the server as a history ID.
At step S380, the personal recommendation module presents the recommended multimedia content items that match according to the history ID.
EXAMPLE III
Fig. 7 is a schematic configuration diagram illustrating a recommendation apparatus for multimedia content according to an exemplary embodiment of the present invention.
Referring to fig. 7, the multimedia content recommendation apparatus according to the first embodiment of the present invention may execute the multimedia content recommendation method according to the first embodiment. The apparatus for recommending multimedia content of the present embodiment may include a presentation unit 710 and a transmission/reception unit 720.
The presentation unit 710 is for presenting a new user content recommendation guide page comprising a first multimedia content item and for presenting a new user content recommendation page comprising a second multimedia content item.
The sending/receiving unit 720 is adapted to send the result of the selection of the first multimedia content item to the server and to receive a new user content recommendation page comprising a second multimedia content item from the server.
Optionally, the presentation unit 710 is configured to present a new user content recommendation guidance page including the first multimedia content item in response to an instruction to start an application for the first time.
Optionally, the apparatus for recommending multimedia content according to the embodiment of the present invention may further include: the storage unit 730 is configured to store the new user content recommendation guidance page. Fig. 8 is a schematic configuration diagram illustrating a recommendation apparatus for multimedia content according to an exemplary embodiment of the present invention.
Referring to fig. 8, the apparatus for recommending multimedia content according to the embodiment of the present invention can execute the method for recommending multimedia content according to the second embodiment. The apparatus for recommending multimedia content of the present embodiment may include a receiving unit 810, an obtaining unit 820, and a transmitting unit 830.
The receiving unit 810 is configured to receive a selection result of the user terminal recommending a guidance page according to new user content including the first multimedia content item.
The obtaining unit 820 is configured to obtain a second multimedia content item according to the received selection result.
The sending unit 830 is configured to send a new user content recommendation page comprising the second multimedia content item to the user terminal.

It should be noted that, according to the implementation requirement, each step described in the present application can be divided into more steps, and two or more steps or partial operations of the steps can be combined into a new step to achieve the purpose of the present invention.
The above-described method according to the present invention can be implemented in hardware, firmware, or as software or computer code storable in a recording medium such as a CD ROM, a RAM, a floppy disk, a hard disk, or a magneto-optical disk, or as computer code originally stored in a remote recording medium or a non-transitory machine-readable medium and to be stored in a local recording medium downloaded through a network, so that the method described herein can be stored in such software processing on a recording medium using a general-purpose computer, a dedicated processor, or programmable or dedicated hardware such as an ASIC or FPGA. and displaying the new user content recommendation page.
2. The recommendation method according to claim 1, wherein the step of presenting a new user content recommendation guidance page comprising the first multimedia content item comprises:
presenting a new user content recommendation guidance page including the first multimedia content item in response to an instruction to initially launch an application.
3. The recommendation method according to claim 1 or 2, characterized in that the method further comprises:
acquiring the new user content recommendation guide page from a specified position;
or,
requesting and receiving the new user content recommendation guidance page from the server.
4. The recommendation method of claim 3, wherein the step of presenting a new user content recommendation guidance page including the first multimedia content item further comprises:

a transmitting/receiving unit for transmitting a selection result of the first multimedia content item to a server; and for receiving a new user content recommendation page comprising a second multimedia content item from the server.
10. The apparatus of claim 9, wherein the presentation unit is configured to present a new user content recommendation guidance page including the first multimedia content item in response to an instruction to initially launch an application.
11. The apparatus according to claim 9 or 10, characterized in that the apparatus further comprises:
the storage unit is used for storing the new user content recommendation guide page;
the display unit is also used for acquiring the new user content recommendation guide page from the storage unit;
or,
the sending/receiving unit is further configured to request and receive the new user content recommendation guidance page from the server.
12. The apparatus according to claim 10, wherein the presentation unit is further configured to present a new user function guidance interface before presenting the new user content recommendation guidance page.
13. The apparatus according to claim 10, wherein the presentation unit is further configured to provide selection interaction items for the presented first multimedia content items, respectively;
the sending/receiving unit is used for sending the packet identifier PID corresponding to the selected first multimedia content item to the server.
14. A user terminal device, characterized in that it comprises a recommendation device for multimedia content according to any one of claims 9 to 13.
15. An apparatus for recommending multimedia contents, said apparatus comprising:
a receiving unit, configured to receive a selection result of a user terminal recommending a guidance page according to new user content including a first multimedia content item;
an obtaining unit configured to obtain a second multimedia content item according to the received selection result; a sending unit, configured to send a new user content recommendation page including the second multimedia content item to the user terminal.
16. The apparatus according to claim 15, wherein the sending unit is further configured to send the new user content recommendation guidance page to the user terminal according to a request of the user terminal.
17. The apparatus according to claim 15 or 16, wherein the receiving unit is configured to receive a packet identifier PID corresponding to the selected first multimedia content item.
18. A server characterized in that it comprises recommendation means of multimedia contents according to any one of claims 15 to 17.
