Abstract
<B>PROCESSO PARA A FABRICAçãO DE CONES DE TUBOS DE IMAGEM E DISPOSITIVO PARA A REALIZAçãO DO PROCESSO<D> Os cones dos tubos de imagem (4) são usualmente produzidos pressionando-se uma massa vítrea sobre um molde (1) utilizando um martelo (2) e um anel (3) para formar a aresta superior achatada do cone (4a), o anel citado sendo elasticamente atado ao martelo(2) e deposto sobre o molde. Ao mesmo tempo, os chamados pads (4c) são formados na parte externa da borda do cone (4) através dos encaixes correspondentes (1a) no molde (1), de modo que o cone (4) possa ser ajustado para conexão com a tela. O molde (1) é fornecido com encaixes (1a) na área dos pads (4c) para obtenção de uma aresta superior periférica (4a) que permanece com largura constante através dos pads sendo trazida de volta, sem a junção do molde periférico ao cone terminado. Movendo as partes achatadas do molde (5,6) que acabam crescendo subitamente com a aresta superior do molde (1b) podem ser introduzidas dentro dos referidos encaixes (1a), a espessura das referidas partes do molde sendo determinadas de acordo com as medidas através das quais os pads são trazidos de volta e sua extensão de raio longitudinal é tal que eles formam uma extensão dentro do espaço do molde de acordo com a aresta superior trazido de volta (4d) dos pads (4c) para serem moldados. As partes do molde são posicionados de modo que elas possam ser retiradas do espaço do molde depois do cone (4) ter sido liberado a partir do molde.
