Abstract

Se describe aquí un procedimiento para producir una alfa-olefina, que comprende obtener una corriente de alimentación que comprende una olefina interna que tiene un primer número de carbonos, y una alfa-olefina que tiene un primer número de carbonos, isomerizar la corriente de alimentación para incrementar la cantidad de la alfa-olefina, fraccionar, someter el material de la parte superior procedente del fraccionamiento a metátesis catalítica para producir un efluente olefínico mixto que comprende una olefina interna que tiene un segundo número de carbonos y otros hidrocarburos, fraccionar, preparar el primer reactor de isomerización y el fraccionador para recibir la olefina que tiene un segundo número de carbonos, isomerizar el intermedio de olefina interna en el primer reactor de isomerización preparado, y fraccionar el segundo efluente de isomerización en el primer fraccionador preparado, para separar la alfa-olefina que tiene el segundo número de carbonos de la olefina interna que tiene el segundo número de carbonos. También se describe un sistema correspondiente, junto con una bomba de calor que se puede incorporar en el procedimiento.
