Abstract
Un método y aparato para implementacion de un procedimiento de seguridad durante un traspaso de una unidad inalámbrica de transmision/recepcion (WTRU) en comunicaciones inalámbricas que controla el comportamiento de un objetivo de traspaso si no puede soportar los algoritmos de seguridad requeridos. La fuente de traspaso puede detectar que el objetivo no soporta los algoritmos de seguridad requeridos y la WTRU puede detectar que los algoritmos de seguridad pueden modificarse durante el traspaso. Los procedimientos de seguridad para la TRU incluyen contingencias para falla de enlace de radio y si se modifica la red publica movil terrestre (PLMN).
