Abstract

Secuencias genéticas que codifican proteínas insecticidas producidas por cepas de Bacillus thuringiensis. En particular, se proporciona nuevos genes quiméricos que codifican una proteína Cry1C, Cry1B o Cry1D, que son utiles para proteger plantas del dano provocado por los insectos. En la presente documentacion también se incluyen las células vegetales o las plantas que comprenden estos genes, y métodos para prepararlas o usarlas, y también células vegetales o plantas que comprenden uno de estos genes quiméricos y al menos otro de estos genes quiméricos. Reivindicacion 1: Un gen quimérico caracterizado porque comprende las siguientes secuencias unidas operativamente: a) una region codificante que codifica una proteína Cry1C, que comprende el ADN de cualquiera de SEQ ID N° 1, 3, 4 o 6, y b) una region promotora capaz de dirigir la expresion en células vegetales.
