Abstract
Es un sistema y método capaz de proveer mediciones continuas de resistividad a través de la envoltura (RTC) de una formación geológica atravesada por una perforación al eliminar la medición de la resistencia de la envoltura. Con este fin, un control de retroalimentación en tiempo real elimina sustancialmente el flujo de corriente a lo largo de la envoltura en la vecindad de un punto de inyección para inyectar una corriente medidora en la formación. Esto permite la estimación directa de la corriente de medición inyectada en la formación junto con el voltaje de la envoltura utilizada para impulsar la corriente dentro de la formación. Como resultado, no hay necesidad de "anular" o ciclo de calibración la cual requiere dos pasos de medición con la herramienta RTC mantenida estacionaria. La retroalimentación preferida es por el proceso de integral derivada proporcional (PID) con un procesador de senal digital que controla las fuentes de corriente gobernables bidireccionales que suministran una o mas corrientes a la envoltura en diversos puntos.
