Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a un método para limpiar material sólido depositado de una porción sucia de un compresor de gas (6) mientras el compresor de gas (6) está in situ en un sistema de procesamiento de gas natural (1). El método comprende las etapas de suministrar un agente de limpieza líquido a una entrada de gas del compresor de gas (6), el agente de limpieza líquido es capaz de remover el material sólido depositado; pasar el agente de limpieza líquido a través 10 del compresor de gas (6) a una salida de gas del compresor de gas (6), en donde al menos una porción del agente de limpieza permanece en estado líquido cuando pasa a través de la porción sucia del compresor de gas (6); y recuperar un fluido que contiene material removido que se produce desde el compresor de gas (6) para prevenir que el material removido llegue a una o más etapas de procesamiento de gas del sistema de procesamiento de gas (1) corriente abajo del compresor de gas (6).
