Abstract
Un arreglo de captura, almacenamiento e intercambio de calor incluye por lo menos un arreglo de intercambio y almacenamiento térmico (TXES), cada arreglo TXES incluyendo uno más elementos TXES que reciben un flujo de fluido de un fluido de fuente de calor y un fluido de trabajo, los elementos TXES proveyendo una transferencia de energía térmica entre el fluido de fuente de calor y los elementos TXES. Un sistema de múltiple provee el fluido de trabajo a una entrada de los elementos TXES y recibe el fluido de trabajo de una salida de los elementos TXES. Por lo menos una máquina térmica capaz de operar con el arreglo TXES extrae calor del arreglo TXES y lo convierte en energía mecánica, la máquina térmica estando conectada selectivamente al sistema de múltiple de un arreglo TXES para hacer pasar el fluido de trabajo a través de los elementos TXES, tal que ocurra una transferencia de energía térmica entre el fluido de trabajo y los elementos TXES.
