Abstract

Se describen copolímeros de óxido de propileno y óxido de etileno que tienen un bloque interno que contiene del 65 al 90% en peso de unidades de oxietileno y del 10 al 35 en peso de unidades de oxipropileno. El bloque tiene un peso molecular de 150 a 350. El copolímero tiene un bloque externo el cual contiene al menos el 95% en peso de unidades de oxipropileno y de 0 a 5% unidades de oxietileno. El peso equivalente del copolímero es de 800 a 2000. Los copolímeros son útiles para elaborar espumas de poliuretano que tienen resistencias a la tensión y/o desgarre inesperadamente altas.
