My Parents, my World

I would like to talk about my favorite people in the whole entire world: my parents.

My parents are my biggest helper and love me for who I am.

My mother helps me with everything and is my personal cheerleader. She teaches me about religion and good manners while keeping me confident despite my mistakes. My favorite memory with my mother is when she took me to Disneyland. Meanwhile, m father brings me chocolate milkshakes even when I don't ask sometimes. He is kind and funny, and shows me how the world works by discovering new places.

In Islam, parents play an important role. They are the reason why I am here and they do everything in their power to make me happy and safe. Both have a huge responsibility to be a good role model for me, so I can become a good person just like them.

God also says to be kind to parents (17:25) and I am trying my best to act on it.

To make my parents feel special I give them small surprises, like cool drawings, massages, or helping out in the household. I also tell them that I love them and appreciate their efforts. They tell me they love me too, which makes me really happy.

May Allah protect my parents, give them lots of happiness and health. Ameen.
