The National Computing Centre

NCC // The National Computing Centre

The National Computing Centre Limited is a non-profit organisation financed by industry, commerce and government. It is dedicated to promoting the wider and more effective use of of computers throughout the economy. In realising its objectives the Centre

  • gives information and advice
  • provides education and training
  • promotes standards and codes of practice
  • co-operates with, and co-ordinates the work of other organisations concerned with computers and their use.



Any interested company, organisation or individual can benefit from the work of the Centre by subscribing as a member. Throughout the country facilities are provided for members to participate in working parties, study groups and discussions and to influence NCC policy. A regular journal — 'NCC Interface' — keeps members informed of new developments and NCC activities. Special facilities are offered for courses, training material, publications and software packages.
